Join Sustainable Putnam for an easy-moderate hike beginning at Hubbard Lodge. This hike is appropriate for most hikers, including children. All are welcome!
We’ll hike for a total of two hours or so, out and back along School Mountain Road. This old and rocky dirt road rises gently while paralleling a wide brook. Please bring a reusable water bottle and snack to enjoy during or after our hike. You might also want to bring a folding camp chair or blanket to sit on by the lodge, after the hike.
Please wear a mask, hiking boots or other durable footwear, and dress in layers. We’ll park and meet near Hubbard Lodge along Campbell Road. From the intersection of Route 9 and Route 301, head north on Route 9 for 1/4 mile. Turn right on Campbell Road and proceed toward Hubbard Lodge. Park along the side of the road and walk to the Lodge.
If the need arises to cancel due to weather, it will be posted here.
