Town of Kent

Kent Recycling Center is a volunteer-run institution, and the envy of other Putnam towns (see link below).

Nearly half of the Town of Kent’s 43 square miles is open space, and remains accessible for hiking, fishing, boating, and hunting. As of 2019, its population was 13,246.

The town is governed by a Town Board made up of a Supervisor and four Council members. In addition to an incredible Recycling Center (link below), Kent also boasts a very active Climate Smart Community Task Force (also linked below).
